Engagement approach

From first call to written recommendations

UK financial advice works best when both sides know the sequence. This page shows how Wrenfield structures consultations — especially Comprehensive Financial Planning.

  1. Introductory call

Twenty to thirty minutes by phone or video. We confirm whether your question sits inside our remit, outline a likely fee range, and send a document checklist if you wish to continue.

  2. Discovery meeting

In High Cormier or online. We walk through income, spending, pensions, ISAs, debts and protection. You leave with a note of anything still missing — not a product pitch.

  3. Analysis

We build cashflow scenarios, compare pension options and check protection gaps. Assumptions are listed so you can challenge growth rates or retirement ages before the recommendation meeting.

  4. Recommendation meeting & report

Findings are presented verbally and in writing. You receive prioritised actions, what we deliberately left alone, and when a solicitor or accountant should be involved.

  5. Ninety-day check-in

For comprehensive planning clients, we schedule a short follow-up to see which actions landed and whether markets or life events changed the sequence.

What we ask you to prepare

  • Recent pension statements and State Pension forecast
  • ISA and other investment valuations
  • Three months of bank summaries if cashflow is in scope
  • Existing life, critical illness or income protection schedules

Missing a document rarely stops the first meeting; it may delay the written plan by a week.
